Funny story…a BF from many years ago thought it was cute to call me “honey bunches”…which eventually led to “honey bunches of oats”…which was ridiculous, so he lovingly... Piñata apple
On top: toasted almonds, honey, sploosh of cream…
I managed the Honey part and the Oats part. Do almonds qualify as Bunches? Close enough.

Delicious oats. Oh, how I have missed you!

One of my husband Tom's favorite breakfast grains is steel-cut oats. They're heartier than regular oatmeal and he likes it because it has a nuttier taste. As soon as the there is a hint of fall in the air, we go from regular oatmeal to steel cut.
Steel-cut oats are oat groats that have been cut so they are pretty close to a whole grain.
