This is a tough weekend with flashbacks and nightmares. Besides some of the experiences with the cult, I am also remembering intense emotional feelings and physical sensations of some of the things that my step-father did along with homicidal rage.

The homicide verdict is not an attempt to destroy a hospital or all ERs (as one emailer suggested), but the honest verdict of a jury of 6 that there was a “gross deviation from the standard of care” and that the inaction in this case was “reckless”. Is a death from the use of illicit drugs (or the “misuse” of licit drugs) an accident or “drug-induced homicide”?
We discussed that question this morning during case...”?
The State of Illinois has a dug-induced homicide statute that holds that if an individual sells to or gives to an individual drugs (illicit or licit) that result in their death

Rhoni Reuter and Skylar Reuter-Gayle Double Homicide

During Case Conferences today (which now serve the function of inquests), the manners of death for Rhoni Reuter and Skylar Reuter-Gayle were declared to be Homicides... and homicide. Skylar’s death was attributed to the blood loss her mother suffered as a result of her gunshot wounds.

Can driving distracted = reckless homicide?

Wed 06 May 2009 12:27pmhomicide? From what I heard, our State’s Attorney has decided “no”, at least in this case.
We have not yet closed our investigation and ruled on the manner of this woman’s death, but I think we are leaning toward (reckless) homicide.
Is driving distracted by eating or texting or doing your nails really any different than being distracted by the effects
