In July of 2007 I ran the Spearfish Canyon HalfMarathon. I had only run one previous half, the 2006 edition of the same race, and my goal for the 2007 race was simply... I confronted my halfmarathon demons; almost two full years, in fact. Just as life sometimes gets in the way of running, running sometimes gets in the way of running. You

I just realized I hadn't yet written up a review of the See Jane Run HalfMarathon in Alameda on June 5th. One reason is that it was almost exactly like last year... expected since I had run a full marathon less than a week earlier. Also, my lungs were still crapped up from the smoke in Vermont. We all ran together for a couple of miles

I had a halfmarathon this morning that is about 63 miles away in Fontana, CA. Since I had to pick up my packet and catch a bus to the start, I set my alarm for 3:45am... an hour of sleep. All I know is I did not feel rested and was very nervous about my second halfmarathon of the week.
As soon as we got to the race Ben fell asleep in the driver

So, I guess I'm about half way through my halfmarathon training and I really have no complaints! So far, everything is going well and I think the most important goal... be devastating!
I have ran the full halfmarathon distance twice in the last few weeks, each under 2 hours which I'm well chuffed with. Both runs left me slightly worse for wear

’ve ran in the bigger Rock ‘n’ Roll races as well as many smaller (and cheaper) races. So when I was asked if I wanted to promote the 3rd annual 13.1 Los Angeles HalfMarathon... on the 13.1 HalfMarathon Series. I know Los Angeles is in the 3rd annual, but I’m sure that it has been going on longer in the other 8 cities, which I can only assume is looking

friends? :) Plus, I needed a reason to get off my butt and actually complete a long run. So I attempted this halfmarathon with absolutely NO TRAINING.
Look at this gorgeous.... I decided to line up in the 9 min mile corral. That was my slowest halfmarathon average so I decided that would be a good place to start.
Um.... why did I even bother. It's
