I told everyone that I was having fistula surgery this week, so I figured it was about time to share an update. On Monday, April 3, I had surgery done on my upper left arm (above the elbow) to put in a new AV fistula. The old fistula (which was done on my left wrist) had stopped working, and they could no longer use it for dialysis. So, the doctors

For the last couple of days I have been having some pain in the venous site of my AV Fistula. I changed the location of the cannulation. I am actually at Care Hospital....
I am a little worried about this. This is the second time in the recent past that this has happened.
A fistula is basically an access to your body's blood for dialysis
