Female pattern baldness... as the follicle pushes through a new hair. When new hairs do not replace the old or when hair is coming out in clumps or sections, there is definite cause for concern.

In case you were wondering, yes, hormones play a big role in hair loss-----so do thyroid problems. I can tell you from personal experience, bioidentical hormones have thickened my hair texture and quantity back up quite nicely, thank you (thyroid medication helps too).
