Aubrey asks…Eyelid gluing and taping tutorials seem to be on the rise. What sort of long-term negative effects might occur from gluing or taping the eyelids for months as recommended by YouTube gurus? Do you think the claim of permanent reshaping has any merit? I am very doubtful.

Vince Vaughn here seen in a side image from a movie cap looks like he may benefit by a blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) and maybe even a forehead lift. I hadn’t noticed that little bulge of fat beneath his lower eyelid or the skin hanging along his upper eyelid before. How old are these pics? Does anyone know?

A patient of mine e-mailed recently. She lives kinda far from me so she goes to a local doc (a general practitioner) for Botox. She got more than usual for her forehead and nasal root (for the look of consternation I’d predict) and now she has a droopy eyelid.
