My son woke up this morning with reddish and gummy secretion in both eyes. He has soreeyes. This is expected because its one of the diseases listed by the Department of Health to increase this summer. I'm so glad that the case of soreeyes is now over for my family. I took the longest to heal. Up to yesterday, the vision in my left eye was blurry. There was no more redness but I was getting headaches due to my imbalanced vision - one side clear, one side blurr.

Yesterday I went to see my GP seeking relief from my dry itchy eyes. For the past month I`ve been using eye drops to help but I believe the real issue is the skin surrounding my eyes. One thing that I love about people who have had cancer is that they reach out, automatically to other cancer fighters. It's instinctive, and it is heartfelt, and I love that. This is how I met my new friend Mary. She's just finished her radiation, and she has been a huge comfort to me on my own journey. Yesterday I sent Mary an e-mail.
