I was kind of infatuated with Jennifer Lopez's makeup from the Golden Globes on Sunday. I know the whole natural and neutral look seemed to be the most popular makeup look amongst the stars, so I thought it refreshing to see someone push the makeup envelope...you can only be impressed by a taupe eyeshadow after five or so celebs.

Today I received a specimen labelled "left eye". It was the eyeball of a 57-year-old gentleman who had sustained trauma to that eye several months ago. So my eyeballs. If you've been reading this blog you know I've been having some trouble with them lately. First, back in mid-June, corneal ulcers. Then corneal abrasions in early July and then worst of all, the most evil eye virus ever 2 weeks ago in North Carolina.

I spent my day locked in a board room. For 9 hours. Talking about minutea that is irrelevant to the case at this point at a burn rate of about $850 per hour collectively. (Glad that bill won't becoming to our office.)
