An analysis done by Biofuels Digest has come to the very surprising conclusion that an electriccar will produce 30% more carbon dioxide emissions over its lifetime than a car powered by E85 corn ethanol. Not only that, the study also found that the same electriccar will produce 21% more carbon dioxide than even a gasoline powered carRead on »

Chetan Maini, the engineer who pioneered India’s first electriccar, had his eureka moment two decades ago when he drove a vehicle fuelled by solar power across the blazing Australian outback.
Now Maini, the man behind Reva ElectricCar Co., is building in southern India what he says will be the world’s biggest factory making battery-powered city

On the other hand the all electriccar has been around pretty much since cars were invented but only recently have they been perfected as a real answer to most... what it's like to drive the uber expensive and all electric Tesla Roadster.

So much for the fantasy of a pure electriccar.

The Tesla looks like it's DOA.
I start thinking conspiracy whenever I think about the EV1. General Motors has something that no other car maker has ever had, an electriccar that people know and that worked. They just don't want to make them.
I propose we make any bailout money from the Feds predicated

Wed 17 Feb 2010 7:31pmElectriccars have many merits: They are quieter and require less maintenance than cars with internal combustion engines. A network of smartly located charging stations covering the entire Harz region in Germany is bound to make electriccars a regional feature.

A friend just told me about a new electriccar that is coming out in the U.S. at the end of next year. It will be made by a Norwegian company called Think that has already been selling electriccars in Europe. The Think City car will use either a sodium or lithium battery and will go 124 miles on a single charge. The company says it will have

Sad news this morning. One of London's two main electriccar deals, NICE Car Company, has gone into administration. That's disappointing for three reasons. Just this week the Committee on Climate Change said electriccars were one of our main hopes for meeting UK emissions targets, NICE's Mega City (pictured) was one of the best cars available in the UK

This month, the City of Newark, Delaware became the first electric utility in the US to use a car to store and provide power for the local electric grid.
In my view, the electriccar system will change the entire pradigm of energy, costs, convenience and greenhouse issues. Earlier I wrote about Shai Agassi’s plan.
Now, with the testing of the first
