, developing and doing well. And, seizures are a part of her daily life. Do we want to risk her progress by trying to obtain something that isn't realistic? Thomas had his EEG today. It went well but Thomas got ticked off at the guy putting all the electrodes on his head. 23 all together...22 on his head and 1 on his chest. I.... should get the results today...so she should have both the MRI and EEG results and I am expecting a call by tomorrow morning.
When I find out the results I will make sure

A sleep deprived EEG...what fun! Had to go to bed at 1am last night and wake up at 5am, only four hours sleep! Needless to say I am exhausted, I was when I woke up... late to the appointment. Luckily, they didn't do that to me.
I did manage to fall asleep as I did for my last EEG....hooray....as that means that my sleep deprivation wasn't

Hannah's EEG at the NIHJuly 2009
Hannah had her sleep-deprived EEG yesterday.
Considering she had woken up at 5:30 am on her own (she was hungry) and I had to keep her up until 1:00 pmshe did pretty well. It was much more involved than the EEG she did at the NIH where she slept the entire timeespecially when they put on the electrodes

The Celebration of the Insane--we found a cause for the Blue Spells!
What...a...day.
For one, it was very, very long... could finagle it.
Well, since then Lily has had five seizures. And I can say seizure now, not "blue spell" or "episode" because we have confirmed seizures. She had her first

EEG appointment this morning went OK. The technician was rather chatty as he stuck glue and attached pieces of electrodes on my head (all 23 of them). There were periods... department after she fell yesterday and broke both wrists. She fell badly, landed on her face and has bruised eyes as well. I wanted to go see her immediately, but I was already

Tomorrow I have the EEG the epilepsy specialist (a.k.a. epileptologist...I think) ordered for me. I'm looking forward to this latest EEG because I'm hoping it will help... old neurologist's office earlier this week and asked if they would burn a CD of my previous three EEG's and mail it to me or to my new neuro. (If you'll recall, paper printouts

Thank you all for the prayers and "seizure vibes" on Tuesday. Jenelle's EEG went well, though she did not have any of the crying or laughing episodes I was hoping to catch. She did have a couple of seizures like her normal ones, so if anything, it will be good to have confirmation that things are the same or better.
In addition to her EEG, Dr

I got a phone call from Kyle's Neurologist the other night. He explained a little bit what the results of Kyle's EEG were - we have an appt in December so I am sure we will discuss it more then. The findings of the EEG were abnormal - which in my book isn't so bad b/c we have been told it will always be abnormal - b/c he will be compared to other kids
