Well they retreived just 7 ovum yesterday.... just seven! Anyway will call in Thursday morning to see how fertilization is going.
Last time in 2006, we had so many more ovum, i guess two years passing for a woman in her 30's makes a big difference? Anyway, we'll see.
I was under anesthia, asleep totally, my husband said it took like 15 minutes

I have made a decision. I am not going to have the D&C done. I have had 2 D&C's and a blighted ovum. The more D&C's you have the more scaring and damage to the uterus there is. I talked with my doctor and explained my choice to go natural. She has agreed and it is what is best for me at this time. I have not started bleeding and I still feel pregnant

as a blighted ovum 2 weeks later
June 2006: IVF #2: (13 eggs, 9 mature, 8 fertilized, transfered 2 grade A expanded blast and 1 grade B expanding blast, none make it to freeze) BFP... baby as a blighted ovum. I spend the weekend on the couch crying.
July 19, 2006: HCG is still rising. The clinic sends me to someone who specializes in doing ultrasounds

and just believe that they had a late period.
A Blighted ovum is when an embryo implants but does not grow as it should. Ultrasounds show that there is an empty sac

So I have to admit that I'm incredibly nervous now. Once the adrenaline wore off and I stopped shaking so bad in excitement, the worry set in. Worrying about my insurance and prenatal care, worrying about a blighted ovum or cysts that give off HCG, worrying about everything... and nothing of importance.
I'm trying to stay positive and just pretend
