The idea has not previously occurred to me but recording obesity as the primary or contributing cause of death on death certificates could be a way to cast greater... public health expert said people often did not rea-lise obesity was linked with many serious conditions. This shows doctors are increasingly recognising obesity as a cause of death

Both of my parents' death certificates cited the cause of death as organic brain disease, which basically means dementia. They each had dementia, though each of them... of a World War II brain injury. Something went wrong in the surgery, and he came out of that surgery totally demented.
