seizure activity in most dogs but it does have a paradoxical excitatory effect in a few animals. I don’t know if this stimulates seizure activity but it does occur.

Here is a good newspaper article out of Rhode Island regarding a young woman and her seizure alert dog. It's a great example of a service dog restoring the independent lifestyle of a person with a disability. Prior to receiving her service dog she was virtually a prisoner in her own home, afraid to leave the house because of her seizure disorder
