Recently, a well educated and intelligent family member of mine was discharged from the hospital with a list of about a half dozen or so medications of which about half of them were knew. He had a list of the medications that was appropriately written out on discharge instructions and the writing was very clear and legible. He took the list

Over on Teach Effectively! I have a post about the report by K. Walsh, D. Glaser, and D. D. Wilcox of the National Council on Teacher Qualilty of their study of the instruction about reading that propspective teachers of reading receive in teachers’ college. The entry has the title “Reading instruction instruction.”

Patient Instructions for Inhaled Devices

While I am no longer a Member of the American College of Chest Physicians, it did publish some terrific patient instructions for inhaled devices . So being the equal-opportunity type of Allergy Dude that I am, I am pointing patients to there. Don't forget there are video clips on youtube also.
