Velma is due tomorrow and I’m taking her down to Lesley’s to deliver the litter (long story). While I’m there, I’ll breed Ava to Thomas (the Danish boy). Raising puppies is one thing that I can do while I’m stuck at home!

that we would. Unmedicated, my seizures will just increase in frequency so he’s starting me out on Dilantin…..ten of them today and three each night at bedtime thereafter. The pharmacist said that I’d be pretty out of it today so I’m trying to get this post done before the medication takes effect (perhaps its too late). I’ll continue on DilantinRead on »

One of the wonderful side effects of the anti-seizure medication is that my body has become one big, giant, ugly bruise. You can see here on my arm that all these bruises look like they want to lock arms and join forces. Nice, right?

Just a reminder!
Vivi has been asking for a pony from day one - I remembered this picture this morning while trying to soothe her back to sleep after her morning medicines (which were so many - Dilantin, Zantac, Decadron, Morphine, Compazine, Ativan and Benadryl!). anti-seizure drugs: DILANTIN, DEPACOTE, TEGRATOL and several others produced by major pharmaceutical corporations. In 2007 the manufacturer of Dilantin changed the description of the 100 mg. Dilantin, changed the 100 mg white capsule with red stripe to a much larger white capsule, orange on one end, which contains 100 mg of the drug, plus aspartame. 150

(like the surgery mom pun?) out. Miserable. Happy kid vanished.
Wednesday his Dilantin levels are low end. Seems to me Dilantin is a tuffy to keep therapeutic. No longer vomiting excessively...just random. No pattern.
Thursday and Friday...for some reason no Dilantin levels are drawn. We continue to have random vomiting.
