Actually I am not a huge fan of cranberry sauce. Correction. I am not a huge fan of homemade cranberry sauce. On the other hand. (and please don't 'puh-shahhhh' me) I am a huge fan of canned cranberry sauce. Not just any kind. The jellied kind.

I like spooning leftover cranberry sauce from Thanksgiving on my plain, no fat yogurt in the morning. It’s good on plain oatmeal or Greek yogurt at breakfast... Cookbook, suggests making this dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan recipe as a way to use up some of that excess cranberry sauce.

I got 5 lbs of cranberries with my CSA distribution last night. These are fresh cranberries,1 so I have to move quickly, or else put them all in the dehydrator. I don’t recall ever having had fresh cranberries before, so this is exciting.
Tonight, I made an apple-cranberry cocktail, to start.

recently found out that we can buy local cranberries in Michigan. There is a farm just south of Grand Rapids in Holland, Michigan area. They are a blueberry and other fruit farm, and they have just recently decided to try out producing cranberries. This is quite exciting!
