Shockingly, 30 billion Compact Disc’s (CDs) and Digital Video Disc’s (DVDs) are created every year; many of them only to end up as landfill. The CD Recycling Center... end up wasted. Imagine 30 billion CDs/DVDs stacked on top of each other and how much space that must take up if the discs were in a landfill.

2007 Statistics:
10,230,732 pounds of packaging waste was kept out of landfills
23, 492, 792 pounds of greenhouse gas was eliminated.
2008 Statistics:
38 million pounds of packaging waste was kept out of landfills
88 million pounds of greenhouse gas emissions was eliminated
