The hardest part of my quest to recreate the one good scone I’ve ever eaten was tracking down the cinnamon chips.
I hunted and hunted, from store to store. I never did...’t claim it as my own.
But back to the cinnamon chips. I couldn’t find them anywhere but online, and let’s be real- that wasn’t happening. I’m not even convinced I like scones yet

Those familiar with my old food blog will hopefully forgive me for posting a recipe that I included over there. These scones are just too good not to mention again. They are necessarily heavier and definitely not deep-fried like the scones you can buy in restaurants, but they are simply delicious and not too terribly unhealthy for you.

I’ve long been eyeing a couple of recipes from King Arthur Whole Grain Baking: Triple Cinnamon-Pecan Biscotti and Cinnamon-Filled Scones. However, I couldn’t make either... of cinnamon. I wasn’t sure whether I would like them, but now I want to know where I can get more!

I've been playing with the pizza scrolls recipe an came up with a lovely variation. For a bring-a-plate for breakfast type affair I wanted something healthy and not too sweet.
As usual you make the basic scone dough and then roll it out into a rectangle. This time roll it quite thin, and fill it with a mixture of grated palm sugar and cinnamon
