Marie Flowers of MercuryPoisoned.com points me to a story going on in New Jersey. Apparently, the Kiddie Kollege day care building used to be a mercury thermometer factory that was never fully cleaned up. And now, kids like Alexis Davis are showing signs of mercury toxicity:

You've got mom set up for several hours a week of in-home care. She does well enough, but she seems lonely. The caregivers who come to the house are nice and they do their job, but they are all quite young and Mom could use some peer interaction.
