Stem cells are the body’s master cells and have the amazing capability of developing into various types of cells. They can be induced to become specific types of tissues or organs and are able to renew themselves through celldivision. These features make stem cells quite remarkable and different from other types Continue Reading »

As little as 10 minutes on a cell phone can trigger changes in brain cells linked to celldivision and cancer, suggests a new study conducted by researchers from... observed changes within the cells. A chemical switch regulating celldivision was switched on -- a switch that has been linked to a variety of cancers.

T cells and Polarized Responses
Almost three decades ago, microscopic and ultrastructural studies in early scleroderma skin revealed the presence of inflammatory cells, including T cells, preceding the deposition of extracellular matrix and the ultrastructural modifications typical of SSc endothelial cells. The presence of T cells in tissues

Fructose May Proliferate Pancreatic Cancer Cells
by

A new study has shown that pancreatic cancers use the sugar fructose, very common in the Western diet, to activate a key cellular pathway that drives celldivision.... These findings show that cancer cells can readily metabolize fructose to increase proliferation. More work will be done to determine if they can block the uptake of fructose. Fructose
