3D CATScan of Broken Foot Bones

3D CATscans help doctors better visualize broken bones in the foot. In the image to the left, multiple fracture fragments of the heel bone are better visualized in the 3D scan than in an X-ray.

Logan has started a bit of seizure activity in the last 12 hours and medication has been given. It can be caused by something major like a stroke or something as small as the medications he is on right now. Neurology is consulting and we are just waiting for their opinions.
The pre-Berlin CatScan was negative for stroke or bleeding, so we are happy about

I had the CATscan today. This will give the doctor a way to see if one ear is "better" than another in terms of anatomy, for operating on. The image generated from the CATscan will also be his "roadmap!"
It was funny because they had given me a paper at my last appointment that said before the CATscan I couldn't eat for 4 hours prior

periodic CATscans over the next 2 years to assure that they lesion does not enlarge. Obviously, this exercise diminishes quality of life and costs plenty of money that could be used... imperfections in our internal organs. In other words, if any of us were to undergo a CATscan, many of us would have abnormalities described by vigilant radiologists.

Not Monday, but Tomm. Based on what he sees, he will decide. If it is bad, then shunt soon. If not we may go home and just have weekly checkups with neurosurgeon. He said he is "pretty sure" she is going to need one. But notice what he didn't say - it is definite. He said the longer she waits the better. Keep praying, keep believing and asking God ...

That's the plan. So far Sara's head size has either stayed the same or had a very small increase. The fontanel is still soft- all good news. Still praying for God to work a miracle so people would know He still has power to do miracles and give people eternal life - and that they would believe in Him! (John 20:30-31)
