Daily calorie level to maintain current weight: 1989 calories.
To lose weight: 1489 calories.
"Please note you should not go below 1400 calories per day...) a week, a person must burn 3,500 calories more than are consumed (500 calories per day over the course of a week)."

Question: Hey Rocco I just read your recent advice about calorie intake. You said you add a 0 to your weight plus 400 if you workout. I am (I’ll be honest) fat - 310... calories a day that seems like a lot? Thanks, trying not to be so fat and lazy.

Will 1200 calories a day be enough to provide a nutritionally sound diet? it can if you eat the right things which I must admit I don't always do. respite to stop weighing, measuring, and counting during the summer. But, it feels so right to be back at it now.

p.s. My own personal calorie needs have been scientifically measured. I know I typically burn 1,950 calories per day in normal activity (I’m pretty small) so, because of this, if I eat 1,250 calories per day that 700 calorie deficit means I will lose just over 2 pounds per week.
