United Pet Group is recalling Stealth and Stealth Pro aquarium heaters due to a wiring problem.
Hazard: A wiring problem can cause the aquarium heaters to overheat... of a consumer who has suffered an eye injury when the aquarium heater forcefully broke while he held it.

to replace the heating elements. Not being mechanically inclined with hardly any tool, I got through that just fine...that is, until I flipped the breaker to turn the heater back on. I flip the breaker and I hear a "crackling" accompanied by an electrical burning smell and a little stream of white electrical smoke rising from the top of the water heater. I

is my enemy but come the cold weather, my joints and muscle starts to stiffen. So, as early as now I am thinking if it’s advisable if we have an electric heater at home... rheumatism during the cold months. So I put a status message on Facebook about not having hot water, and I wish my water heater was working, and how I had to wash my hair with cold water. My sister (Trey's mother-in-law) has Facebook. :)

The great thing about active solar air heaters is that they’re easy to build, requiring only a good grasp of carpentry and a modest amount of electrical knowledge.
