The Bruise by Ellie Patient Expert Posted Sat 18 Jun 2011 8:19pm I press my fingers into the bruise on the back of my right hand. It does not hurt enough. It does not take their pain away, It does not save him. Hand on top of hand, I did my best to pump his dying heart back to life. Never wishing so fervently for a patient to open his eyes and smile at us as we congratulate ourselves. ... Read on »

Then, in an effort to make sure the dog didn’t get out, someone slammed the door hard, and it landed right on her pinky. Kulkarni thought the door had only bruised her finger, ... Read on »

I wah-wah’d him, and he got over it. Probably. Actually, much of the evening was an instant replay of what I’d done two nights previous with M. Gibbons (aka the Mean Dean) and Pottsy. Lemon Grass and X3. And also, drinking. But this ti ... Read on »
Bruised Noggin by Ellyn Posted Tue 26 Oct 2010 12:00am So Ava was running laps at school today and she ended up getting all tangled up somehow and falling backwards onto her head. She has always been a touch clumsy...we don't call her "Grace" for nothing! But she hit her head pretty hard today and she wasn't able to tell the teacher how many fingers were being held up in front of her, she felt ... Read on »
