This is a news article about a recent vaginal breech birth in Canada, where vaginal breech deliveries are becoming more common. The doula that attended this birth shared that the couple also took HypnoBirthing classes from her. this technique called an inversion or you can try the breech tilt. But with a transverse lying baby the inversion usually works better. The little guy is back where he should be, no longer breech. I would love to tell you that he was so obedient and helpful that he turned completely on his own, but that would be a big fat lie. Instead it went a little something like this.....

I am happy - no, ecstatic - to announce that we have had not just one, but several vaginal breech births on my unit in the last few weeks!! FINALLY!!! Doctors are opening up to the idea that offering a vaginal birth, in the case of a breech presentation, is a viable option. Yes, even on primips!

Breech Baby = Cesarean?

I am busy figuring out my Hypno-Doula Statistics. This year I had 10 doula clients. 3 of them had breech babies!
They all had cesareans. 2 attempted ECV, 1 the breech baby was discovered when she was 6cm.
