will be around a baby under a year of age get their Tdap boostershot. Previously, the Tdap vaccine (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) was only offered to those under age 65. So, grandparents: roll up your sleeves for your Tdap (and flu shots, too) before you visit your precious little ones over the holidays!

Attention toddlers: HIB boostershot is back!

The Centers for Disease Control announced today that medical providers can now resume giving the much needed HIB boostershot to toddlers.
HIB stands for Haemophilus... vaccination series have had to wait on their booster dose.
Here are the official recommendations:

TheCDC is recommendingshingles boostershots for anyone over 60. Shingles is the more serious form of the chickenpox virus and can be dangerous in adults.
