Well they retreived just 7 ovum yesterday.... just seven! Anyway will call in Thursday morning to see how fertilization is going.
Last time in 2006, we had so many more ovum, i guess two years passing for a woman in her 30's makes a big difference? Anyway, we'll see.
I was under anesthia, asleep totally, my husband said it took like 15 minutes

I have made a decision. I am not going to have the D&C done. I have had 2 D&C's and a blighted ovum. The more D&C's you have the more scaring and damage to the uterus... if I can go through this again. But I know for a fact my son can not go through this again. I will be even more careful to make sure he does not find out if we try again.

was a pregnancy was actually a blighted ovum and I was able to get it out earlier (okay, the crazy anti-abortion protesters...but that's another story ).
But obviously you don't want.../S for an hour or so and got a video of it as a reward. Eeeeps. And in strip malls they have similar places were you can get ultrasound CDs made for your friends. FertilityBitch says

early blast; 1 compacted (blighted ovum)
2) 1 expanded blast; 3 early blasts; 2 compacted (m/c at 8 weeks)
3) 3 day transfer (BFN)
4) 2 early blasts; 4 compacted; 4...
We will be doing the transfer tomorrow -on day 6. My clinic likes to do transfers with expanded blasts which can either happen on day 5 or day 6. The younger the eggs

as a blighted ovum 2 weeks later
June 2006: IVF #2: (13 eggs, 9 mature, 8 fertilized, transfered 2 grade A expanded blast and 1 grade B expanding blast, none make it to freeze) BFP... baby as a blighted ovum. I spend the weekend on the couch crying.
July 19, 2006: HCG is still rising. The clinic sends me to someone who specializes in doing ultrasounds

A Blighted ovum is when an embryo implants but does not grow as it should. Ultrasounds show that there is an empty sac... miscarriage can be a continuation of a threatened miscarriage or can begin spontaneously. and prenatal care, worrying about a blighted ovum or cysts that give off HCG, worrying about everything... and nothing of importance.
I'm trying to stay positive and just pretend... 9 with both of my girls. Every pregnancy is different, of course, but it gives me comfort to know that everything is probably just fine.
