According to the National Institute of Mental Health approximately 2.6% of Americans 18 years or older have bipolar disorder. Unfortunately, there are no definitive tests for GAD or Bipolar Disorder. No blood tests, or brain scans, etc. Although I understand they are working towards... with a diagnosis.
