Everyone once in a while someone has a great idea AND makes it happen! A fellow named Marcus (big hat in video) heads up the Green Bike program at Keene State College's Sustainability Project in the basement of Keddy Hall on campus. This week, the City of Austin launched a pilot bike share program gear towards city staff to reduce vehicle emissions for short trips. The first Austin Bike Summit will be held this weekend to bring all parts of the cycling community together to plan for what’s next in bike advocacy. The summit is hosted by the League of Bicycling Voters , Yellow Bike Project , Austin Cycling Association , and Bike Texas .
