As I watched my daughter in soccer last night, I was thinking about several soccer playing patients I have that have sustained injuries. One such soccer injury occurs ...

Turf toe is a common injury we are encountering more often in our office. This, therefore, only happened in football as the cleat caught in the turf. Who else plays ...

We all know how just one little thing can change the course of our lives forever.

Pain became much much easier by day three with the worst discomfort in the night. You are told that you need to keep your foot free of any bedding and obviously to lie on your back in bed.
For a stomach sleeper it does take a bit to change a life times habit of going to sleep on your stomach. Fortunately it is my right foot and I sl ...

It happened again today in my office. A woman came in asking for bunion surgery. She had put up with the pain in her big toe for years and finally had had enough. Many years ago her family physician told her to wait until she couldn’t stand the pain in her foot before discussing surgery with a podiatrist. Like many physicians, she assumed any pai ...

It all began in July, with a big, painful blister-type-pustule, full of something green, on the end of the big toe on my right foot. (And we're talking Rowntree's Lime Jelly before those kinds of food colourings became illegal. Lurid. You could actually see that it was green, through the skin.)
It burst. It hurt. I thought that would ...
