The Qu estion:
Received via email- Recently during work when I get up from my desk I have the strangest thing happen, a stabbing pain in my one bigtoe. No place else, just a stabbing pain under my one bigtoe. Is this associated with plantar fasciitis, as I have been prone to this?

BigToe Skin is Split and Bloody

Just after I got out of bed today, noticed an unusual feeling on the bottom of my bigtoe, right foot. When I looked at it ... there was a small bloody vertical split... for breakfast. When I came home, I soaked the toe in a solution of warm water and salt. Then, I applied Polysporin and wrapped it up in gauze. I also noticed my other bigtoe was looking

I finally gave in and called the foot doc for an appointment to take care of my left bigtoe. Part of me is actually wondering if I may have fractured the bone from all... bigtoe. I had to carry the bags up the stairs seperately to avoid the agony! And of course that frustrated the hell out of me because every time something like this happens I

I got home that night, the top left of my right foot's bigtoe was red, sore to the touch, and slightly swollen. Kinda felt like an ingrown toenail. Friday was a scheduled day... morning, the bigtoe was highly upset! I really think all the sloshing around lately in the mud on 300+ mile trail shoes was the culprit. So now what?
