Running Clinic: 5-Mile Track Workout by Corey I. Patient Expert Posted Thu 22 Jan 2009 3:57pm 1 Comment Went to our running clinic's 2nd week of track workout tonight. Did 1 mi warm-up, followed by 8x400 (at threshold pace), with each 400 of speed work followed by a recovery...% sure what my overall pace was.) I honestly didn't feel very tired after tonight's track workout, so either my fitness is improving or I'm not working hard enough! Not sure if I Read on »
Sites I Use to Track Workouts by Blake H. Healthy Living Professional Posted Tue 12 Oct 2010 7:57am I have two favorite sites that I use to track my workouts. I used to just use pen and paper, but that’s a little out-dated. : ) The first one is MapMyRun.com . This one.... The other site I use to log the workouts is BeginnerTriathlete.com . Useful to just log what you did. You can see graphs of your last week, last month, or last year. Keeps track Read on »
Track Workout on the Street? by Keri B. Posted Fri 30 Apr 2010 12:00am was being used. So we decided to jog to our regular tempo spot and map out the distances on the Garmins. My dad did a regular run and I attempted my planned track workout. (Attempted... to take into account. The workout seemed easy enough on paper. I figured worst case scenario I would run the splits slower than planned. Here's how it went down Track Workout Read on »

Tuesday track workout by timc Patient Expert Posted Tue 16 Jun 2009 12:21am Before going to track workouts tonight, I met up with Steve and Amy for a pleasurely 3 mile run down at Central City Park and ran around the 1 mile track. It was still.... We kept it easy while trying to talk about why cars were parking and flashing their lights at passing cars. Thanks Steve for the 411 on 5-0. Tonight at track workout, Kerry Read on »
Track workout: Sub 6s by Kevin L. Patient Expert Posted Thu 27 May 2010 9:21pm Had my first real track workout in I dont know how long. We were to run six times around the Austin High track. No stopping. 80 percent effort. 1.5 miles of lung burning... there was a short rest between each workout, this was harder than the first workout. I guess when you rest then ask your body to sprint, it revolts. I dont have splits for the second workout Read on »

Another Week, Another Track Workout by Meredith Posted Tue 15 May 2012 12:00am On paper, last night's track workout should have been easy.  2 X 3200 The weird thing about the Run Less, Run Faster program is that they give you track workouts out to two miles, yet don't give you paces for that distance.  So Dave and I decided it should be short tempo pace which landed us at an 7:11/mile.  Shoot!  Compared to what w ... Caratunk Track Workout by Caratunkgirl Posted Sun 31 Jan 2010 12:00am , I remembered why I loved the idea.  The program consists of three running days a week - one interval, one tempo, one long - along with 2 other non-running workouts of fairly high intensity - swim, bike, rowing, etc.  The only downfall I could see was that the interval days were all track workouts.  The closest track to me is 40 miles away Read on »
Track Workout #1 and The Bachelor by mwatson Posted Tue 04 Jan 2011 12:19pm Track workouts give me anxiety. Maybe it's because I rarely, if ever, stick to them if they are on a training plan. This time it's going to be different because I know... at the training schedule. Last Tuesday I did 7 miles but today was the first track workout of this training program. Every Tuesday I'll be hitting the track and going round and round Read on »
