Don't fret. This is the blog formerly known as Fertility Foibles (wish I could have some cool Prince-like symbol in here like a X'ed out pregnancy test). to be a bat by the way it was flying. I got up but didn’t turn on any lights and watched this flying creature swoop up and down. I then turned off the ceiling fan, not wanting the bird/bat to get hurt. Then I put the cats in the back room with me and promptly fell asleep. I bet all of you think that vampire bats suck blood- and I also bet that all of you think that every species of vampire bats are out to suck it up!
WRONG!
Out of the over 1000 different species of bats, only 3 suck blood and they don't even live in North America!

Looks like bats are in need of acaped crusader. A mysterious malady called White Nose Syndrome (WNS) has been killing bats in the Northeast. Shockwaves from the contact between bat and ball travel down the bat to the hands.
Some shockwaves are reflected and bounce back up the bat towards the ball.
The ball leaves bat before shockwaves bounce back.

A Bat in the Attic

My house sustained some wind damage that pulled off pieces of siding and trim. A contractor has been working on the house and came across a few bats that made a cozy home in the wood trim. We set up one way netting so the bats would go out but not come back in.
