I am busy figuring out my Hypno-Doula Statistics. This year I had 10 doula clients. 3 of them had breech babies!
They all had cesareans. 2 attempted ECV, 1 the breech baby was discovered when she was 6cm.
None of the moms were presented with an option of vaginal birth. That is getting rarer and rarer since the 2000 study on breech

Every mom wants the absolute best for their kids from the moment the baby is in the womb til way into adulthood. To know that your baby is in the breech position and have to go through C-section without actually having a choice. A new study from the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, and published in Pediatrics, helps confirm earlier findings that babies born in the breech... it is hard not to look at your own autistic child's delivery. His mom was not over 34 at the time but Conor was a breech baby, delivered by cesarean section.

was wondering what was up. I heard the word breech and my heart sunk. Ryan and I went in and Dr. Winter explained that Jennifer was 6cm and doing great, but the baby was breech. He....
He said, had it been 20 years earlier she would be an ideal candidate for a vaginal breech birth, because she had already had a baby and her birthing time was progressing well

This is contrary to common practice in North America, in which very few doctors or midwives will attempt a vaginal delivery on a breech baby. was sent home later that evening. They couldn't feed me anything because my baby is breech and they didn't know for sure if I would need a c section that day or not. When my doctor... this technique called an inversion or you can try the breech tilt. But with a transverse lying baby the inversion usually works better. strain are reduced, in a case of a breech baby, it provides more support for the correct positioning of the baby and the baby is more likely to turn. The purpose of the Webster Technique is not to ‘turn breech babies’ but it’s been known to do to so, due to the reduction in tension of the ligaments in the pelvic area as well as opening up the space
