perusing the literature on pregnancy and nutrition, I came across this series of interesting studies on omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil.
Abnormal neurological responses in young adult offspring caused by excess omega-3 fatty acid (fish oil) consumption by the mother during pregnancy and lactation.

if they are not planning to get pregnant. Folate is needed before and during the first weeks of pregnancy to help prevent birth defects. Because half of all pregnancies in the U.S. are not planned... need more folate each day:
* If you are pregnant, you need 600 mcg.
* If you are breastfeeding, you need 500 mcg.

As long as I have explored... company touted the importance of folic acid, especially for theprevention of birth defects. A fter testing many brands most didn't deliver any folic acid to the blood stream. I
