that drive the competition bench press. My plan was to do floor presses or perhaps strict military presses as the Max Effort movement. Unfortunately all the power racks and platforms were taken by silly little men who will quit in a few weeks.
Instead I had to do Illegal Wide Grip Bench Presses. These are not a bad exercise, in fact I had not done them

"I have a question. My bench press seems to be suffering. I was doing 210 to 215 lbs about 7 to 8 times easily. Lately, I can barely do 5 or 6 without having to strain... often, so don't be too alarmed by it. Your nervous system is probably sick and tired of the bench press. Take a break from the bench press and do a variation of the bench press

The bench press is one of the best exercises for the upper body. Not only does the bench press hit the chest but also works the shoulders and the triceps.
