a long day at the coast. But, having recently discovered a recipe for Ginger Batch Cake, I was inspired to make a version of my own and so was borne the Apricot Spice Sticky Cake..., butter replacement and apricots, plus the ground almonds that make up the body of the cake; while the agave syrup glaze adds a gloss and extra gooeyness to the whole affair.

After trying the Betty Crocker brownie mix with decent results, I moved on to the gluten free cake mixes - the yellow and devil’s food flavors. I was especially eager to see how good these mixes were simply because of the price. You heard right, skull cake, how rad is that? At least now I know what kind of cake I’m getting for my 25th birthday, can’t wait (for the cake, not to turn 25).

Giving peace a chance. This Italian cake called Colomba signifies the dove and it is it a typical Italian cake for every family during Easter.
Easter is way gone but I had mine the other week!
Next time you visit Italy remember to bring 1 home.

I tried the day before yesterday to make a simple apple cake since I had extra apples in my fruit basket in the kitchen. I think it was nice, but my son said that he did not like to eat pieces of fruit in the cake he likes the classic chocolate one better.
My husband said he hated apple cake since he was young....so now I have a cake halfway all
