the amniotic fluid of pregnant women to check for levels of inflammation. Women were divided into three groups: normal weight, overweight, and obese. The researchers found that as the woman's weight went up, so did the level of cytokines in the amniotic fluid.
The researchers conclude that:

. You worry that maybe it's just urine trickling out. It can't be amniotic fluid, you rationalize to yourself.
You go to the hospital to be evaluated. Baby's heartbeat is beating away normally at 160 beats per minute. Baby is moving around on ultrasound. Doesn't look like there was a loss of amniotic fluid, but yet, you keep leaking *something

I've been keeping my calories at 1200 this week and am trying to drink my fluids. Today was a terrible day for the liquids. I have realized over the years that the amount of fluid depends largely on the type of fluid. For example, it is much easier to drink more water than other liquids. When I...". But for the most part, I feel drinking liquids other than water will cause a net fluid weight gain less than that when you drink only water.
