Most people think it’s time to drink water when they are feeling thirsty, but did you know that when you’re thirsty it means you’re already dehydrated? Staying hydrated..., and it’s good for your skin, hair and nails. So don’t wait till you’re thirsty to drink water. Keep an aluminum water bottle with you and refill it often!

The U.S. National Library of Medicine mentions these possible causes of excessive thirst:
Being diabetic.
Eating a meal that was too spicy or salty.
Bleeding enough to cause significant blood loss.
Taking certain medications.
