Today was my first day of Lupron. It wasn't too bad. I had no problem giving the shot - didn't hurt at all and no flinching. It burned a bit afterward and feels like a bee sting. But, not too bad.

I have heard of several people who have had great results after taking Lupron, I, for one, was not one of them. It was so hard on my body and I swear that my body never went back to "normal" (whatever that means) after taking the drug (I only took 1 3-month shot). Sat 06 Jun 2009 12:06amLupron shots #1, 2, & 3 done! The appointment on the 22 nd went fantastic and my cyst is gone. The shots are easy peasy, which I was very pleased about, but unfortunately we have eleven more lupron shots, but of course worth it to be a few steps closer to our dream.
Next appointment is March 5 th to check be sure that my ovaries

this theory, but was potentially harmful and could not be done. Then, this week to my surprise I read that if was being done--sort of anyway. Lupron is cancer drug, which blocks... of the extreme male brain theory. This is an attempt to remove mercury from the body, which is "believed" by some to be the cause of autism. I took my last lupron daily 10 unit subQ shot Thursday night. It did not supress my estrogen. Infact my levels went up after 3 weeks of daily shots and there is a cyst on my rt ovary. therefore, I am not to take any more and my doctor would like to try new meds. Lupron is being prescribed in preparation of IVF.

Oh, Lupron. Just when I thought our time was coming to an end, I find that is not the case. This morning's blood test / ultrasound determined that I am not yet suppressed.
