Deadwood-Mickelson Half Marathon - Vanquishing my half marathon demons by chrissto23 Patient Expert Posted Wed 10 Jun 2009 6:46pm In July of 2007 I ran the Spearfish Canyon Half Marathon. I had only run one previous half, the 2006 edition of the same race, and my goal for the 2007 race was simply to better my time of 1:33:XX. Coming just two weeks after a tough, hot run at the inaugural Missoula Marathon, I wasn’t expecting much and would have been perfectly happy with a 1: ... Read on »

Country Music Half Marathon report by Amy G. Patient ExpertHealth Maven Posted Wed 22 Oct 2008 6:15pm Way back in December when I decided to run the half as an excuse to visit my sis in Nashville, I was under the impression that it would be just another race, a piece of cake in a full marathon training season. I convinced my sis and bro-in-law to join me on the run; she's done 2 halfs but he's never gone that far in a race. Sandy decided to com ... Read on »

Kaiser Permanente Half Marathon by Gavi E. Posted Mon 07 Feb 2011 1:44pm It’s official! I ran my second half marathon yesterday and reached a new PR (personal record) with a time of 1:51:00. As you can see from above, I actually ran further than 13.1 miles, but who’s counting? (That is a TOTAL lie–I was totally dying/ready to cry when I saw that the race didn’t end at 13.1 miles!) It was an awesome race a ... Read on »
Zombie Runner Vasona Lake Run Half Marathon by Amy G. Patient ExpertHealth Maven Posted Tue 06 Sep 2011 12:14am My 20 mile training run went well. For a long run it was -- long. The weather ended up being great; it never got too hot and the sun didn't even come out until my final hour. I ran the last 12 miles alone, greeting all the other runners, walkers and cyclist as they passed by. I ended up tired, with a sore foot but no other problems. I'm prett ... Read on »

The Cleveland Half Marathon Race ... by Sensationally Red Patient Expert Posted Sat 13 Jun 2009 12:00am The Cleveland Half Marathon Race Report Mention the Cleveland Rite Aid marathon and images of sun mixed with rain, wind, shivering runners, trunks clad in trash bags to stave off the intermittent showers, and the nicest legs to be had in Northeastern Ohio come to mind. This year was no different. I woke up at the ungodly hour of 3:45, in ... Read on »
