Eating organic is in the news a lot because it is said to be a good way to a healthy lifestyle. Simply put, organic food is natural food that has been cultivated without the use of artificial preservatives or pesticide. Here are some basic facts about organic food and why it is good for us. 1. Because it is pesticide-free, it gives you more nutritional value than conventional foods. Research has shown that organic foods contain a significantly higher amount of nutrients like Vitamin C, magnesium, iron, and phosphorus. 2. The food also tastes much better since it is free of any artificial products and is able to retain its natural flavor. 3. Organic foods contain phenolic compounds that help prevent heart diseases and cancer. 4. You can try growing organic foods in your kitchen garden. And if you are not too much into gardening, you can get good quality, certified organic food from the grocery store.
