If you are trying to eliminate junk from your diet, did you know the first thing to go should be soda? Basically, all soda contains is PURE POISON! Why would anyone want to put pure poison into his or her body, no matter how good it might taste? And don’t be thinking you can get away with drinking diet soda, because, guess what? That is even worse!!! No kidding. Diet soda contains more poisonous, unnatural chemicals in it than regular soda. Who cares if it is caffeine free or has a little less sugar, or fake sugar at that.
Soda steals huge amounts of water from the body, and if you enjoy being dehydrated and want to get dehydrated quickly, then drink lots of soda. I am sure we all love feeling lethargic, moody and depressed. Well, that is how severe dehydration makes you feel, and that is what drinking soda causes. But, if you still insist on having your soda, then be prepared to drink at least 10 glasses of water after you drink one glass of soda, to be able to re-hydrate yourself. That is what it is going to take. Because soda takes away more water from the body than it gives, which is basically zilch!
If you are a big soda drinker, have you noticed any digestion problems? Soda likes to wreak havoc on the digestive system as well. So, if you are experiencing problems with this, how about eliminating soda as your first step.
As we all know, soda is also very acidic. You have heard the stories about it eating through a piece of meat or disintegrating a piece of metal. Well, it is REALLY true, it is not just some made up freaky story used as a scare tactic. You drink soda, you are filling your body with lots of nasty acid. So be ready for disease to have a hayday inside your body. If you get sick a lot or are always battling a cold or flu, then soda may be one of the big causes. Your immune system does not have a chance against all the acid soda pours into your body. So, with that said, if you are ever sick or have the stomach flu, don’t send someone to the store to get you a 7-up or Sprite. That will just make it all the more harder for your immune system to fight off the illness.
Now, I will have to admit, I used to be a soda drinker. Not a heavy drinker, but I did drink 2-3 sodas per week. I loved Dr. Pepper and Coca Cola wasn’t too bad either. Anytime I ate pizza I just had to have a soda to go with it. Sometimes at work I would buy a can from the vending machine and gulp it down for an afternoon pick me up. Gee, no wonder I came home with a headache and total exhaustion. You think I would have gotten a clue. What caused me to kick the soda habit once and for all was being pregnant. I had heard to not drink soda or much caffeine when pregnant; that could be dangerous for the unborn child. So, I went off soda cold turkey with my son. After he was born I started drinking it again. Shame, shame. Well, with my 2nd pregnancy, I went off soda again, but I also educated myself about not only how bad it was for a fetus, but also how bad it is for a grown adult. I never went back to it again. That was over four years ago. To this day I have not taken a sip of any kind of soda. I think if I took even a sip my body would probably go into convulsions. It could not handle such poison, not even a tiny amount. None of us would drink just a little bit of bleach so why would we drink a tiny amount of poisonous soda, let alone a whole can of it?
Okay, folks, that is my preaching about soda. I dug deep and spilled out some harsh facts about it, but they are true and I care about all of you. If you want to start eliminating junk from your diet, then soda should be the first to go, and I would suggest cold turkey. Every drop you put into your mouth is one more drop of poison that your body does not need. This is my advice, and you can now decide for yourself. I hope you will decide to CUT IT OUT! It will be so worth it!
