I have been diagnosed with hyperextensive (syndrome?) and degenerative arthritus after years of also having macular degeneration (I'm only 32, but these things ran/run in my family as well. The internist M.D. my rheumatologist recommended to me says they are not connected, yet my online research shows a possible connection I'm pasting here: neuronal ceroid-lipofuscinosis. Am I not going to the right kind of doctor, or is there possibly no broader, genetic connection to these discomforts? Does that word I pasted from web mean anything suggestive of a connection between these diseases? I appreciate feedback a lot!
ps:The X-rays determing my condition were c-spine and wrist, the worst of a gaggle of painful joints like hips & toes. Vision is getting so bad I doubt that I could pass another driver's test and have long suspected my testers were too easy on me since I can't read signs until I'm RIGHT up on them when driving.
