What is this lump doing beside my left shoulder blade?

Posted by justwondering

Okay so three days ago I started feeling this pain on my back. At first I thought it was my back because I usually have back pain but then when I got to feel around the area that was hurting...there was some kind of lump. It was right beside my left shoulder blade.  It also hurt me when I was breathing, I had to take big breaths.  I've had this problem before and I also went to the doctor but she said it's nothing.  I don't understand how it can be nothing? It has to be something. Please help, thank you.

I'm just wondering what you found out because I have the same exact thing.  My internist has referred me to a surgeon to get it removed, so now the wait begins to find out what this is.  I have had a problem with Lipomas and Angiolipomas in the past, but the doc thinks this feels different. I am anxious to hear your follow-up.
