Testing for Lyme

Posted Dec 22 2009 12:00am
As promised, here is the info about Lyme testing.

If you want to get tested or re-tested for Lyme disease, you need to have a doctor who will send your blood work to IGeneX laboratory. I highly recommend getting re-tested by this lab and tested for the first time if you never have been. Lyme disease is very commonly misdiagnosed and was even brought up in our latest local elections as a growing issue. Lyme disease can cause arthritis symptoms and needs to be ruled out as a cause of your pain. You will not always have the "bulls eye" rash that you will hear about on websites.

I just wanted to give you all that information before I forgot! I know some of you can't imagine making another doctor's appointment with all of your monthly bloodwork and such, but it really is worth it. I sucked it up and brought a good book and cup of tea and pretended I wasn't there. You can do it!

Here are links to my previous posts on Lyme if you don't have a clue of what I'm talking about:

Merry Merry Christmas to all, I hope everyone is together with friends and family and enjoying the excitement!
