I had a total hip replacement at Kaiser, Hollywood in 1993 (non-cemented titanium) - now I need the cup replaced but am told they will have to replace the whole prosthesis as the make and model number of the original prosthesis has been unavailbe from Kaiser. This must happen to other people - why do the manufacturers not make a standard replacemnet part for these prosthesis? It would help lessen the suffering of the patient!
