Today is cooking class number 5! I can't believe that this will be my fifth. I'm not too nervous anymore, I'm kind of just excited and happy to have people come over and cook with me. For the first few classes I was nervous about the recipes, whether they would turn out right, and whether people would think the food tasted good, but my fears haven't come true yet. Everyone is really enjoying the food and learning that eating healthy is so much easier and tastier than they thought! If I start to doubt myself I just think, no apologies if it doesn't turn out right. It's just food and I want to show people that it's not always picture perfect like on t.v. but it can always taste good with the right ingredients and seasonings.
Today we're making vegetables: roasted carrots, roasted fennel, spinach pie, mint-cilantro pesto, citrus-beet salad, fennel salad with pecorino cheese and pepitas, carrot juice, sauteed onions and spinach, garlicky kale, and baked garlic!
