A new study published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association suggests Mediterranean diet may help individuals suffering from rheumatoid arthritis (RA) eliminate some of their pain.
By reviewing the results on 366 people with RA from eight previous studies, reserachers found that eating a Mediterranean diet rich in fruits, vegetables, healthy fats and lean protein for 12 weeks may relieve pain. Similars results were noticed in people eating a vegetarian diet for 13 months.
By signing up and giving information about your lifestyle and food preferences, you can also get a free personalized mediterranean diet based on your nutritional needs and provided by a team of nutritionists from the SISA (Italian Association of Food Science).
