I don't like this. I don't like this at all; hurricane Ida is in the Gulf and heading our way. Yeah, they forecast it may diminish in strength and end up being a tropical storm, but that still can equate to power outages. It will definitely lead to much flooding in our neighborhood and I am thankful we are not in the flood areas.
We would not mind staying home and riding out the storm, but when the power goes out it is no fun. Take in account that we never know when it will come back on and I have medications that need to be kept refrigerated and you understand why it would be wiser to evacuate. I hate that with a passion.
It is one thing to leave home for a trip or a vacation. It is another thing to have to leave and not know what you will come back to, or if there even is something to come back to. I hope and pray that those who are directly affected by Ida will be spared any devastating effects. May God protect them, watch over them and bless them abundantly!
Ezra 8:21 Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions.
